Patrick D. Jones
Patrick D. Jones () received his B.A. from Kenyon College, Gambier, Ohio, MA and the Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Wisconsin. He joined the UNL faculty in 2004 and is currently an Assistant Professor of History and Ethnic Studies (African and African American Studies). Within the broad field of twentieth century African American Studies, his primary areas of interest are the civil rights movement, race and politics, and African American experience in the "Jazz Age." In addition, he teaches about contemporary U.S. History, with a special interest in social movements, electoral politics, and the Cold War era. His current research focuses on race relations and civil rights insurgency in the urban North.
