The minor in African American Studies is designed to expose students to a program of study concerning African American culture, life, and history in the United States, as well as the African experience on the continent and/or in the Diaspora.
A total of 18 credit hours including the 3-hour ETHN 200 - Introduction to African American Studies, and 15 hours (from at least three departments) from the courses listed below. Other courses and independent study may be used with the approval of the minor adviser.
